Alimosho ADC Women End Year in Grand Style, Renew Commitment to Grassroots Mobilisation

The women’s wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Alimosho held a colourful end-of-year dinner on December 18, bringing together party women from across the local government in a celebration of unity, dedication, and renewed political resolve.

The well-attended gathering, which featured gift-sharing and moments of reflection, recorded an impressive turnout, underscoring the growing strength and enthusiasm of women within the party in Alimosho.

Speaking at the event, the Alimosho ADC Women Leader, Hon. Oluyemi Flourish, expressed profound appreciation to the women for turning out in large numbers and in high spirits. She commended their elegant appearance and unwavering commitment to the party throughout the year. Hon. Flourish used the occasion to urge the women to take the ADC message deeper into the grassroots, describing women as the backbone of effective political mobilisation.

“We must move from celebration to action,” she charged, calling on members to engage their communities, households, and networks to strengthen the party ahead of the new year.

Also addressing the gathering, the Alimosho ADC Chairman, Pastor Dr. Wesley Odeyemi, applauded the women for their unity and resilience. He described their turnout as a clear demonstration of loyalty and political consciousness, and encouraged them to double their mobilisation efforts in the coming year to help reposition the party for greater success.

Adding his voice, Hon. Dapo Igbasan of Ipaja-Ayobo LCDA charged the women to remain active at the grassroots level and to continue offering strong support to the men of the party. He emphasized that sustainable political growth depends on teamwork and the strategic involvement of women in community mobilisation.

The event ended on a high note, with renewed commitment from the women to strengthen the ADC’s presence across Alimosho. Beyond celebration, the dinner served as a rallying point—reinforcing the critical role of women in party building and setting the tone for a more aggressive grassroots engagement in the year ahead.
