2027: KWARA PDP SHRINKS FURTHER AS PAST STATE CHAIRMAN DROPS 23 YRS LOYALTY FOR THE ADC - DECLARES PARTY AS NIGERIA'S NEW HOPE

The texture, tincture and structure of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in Kwara state, North Central Nigeria have waned with the defection of Rt. Hon. Babatunde  Mohammed, to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Mohammed who was the immediate past state Chairman of the PDP in the state pointed that his decamping to the ADC was borne out of personal experience and decision.
In a letter addressed to the PDP chairman of Agunjin Ward , Ifelodun Local Govt, Rt.Hon.Mohammed extended his appreciation to his former party members for all the support they showed him during his tenure as state chair.
He noted that while other PDP leaders left  for the APC, he waited patiently in PDP.
Mohammed served as Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly between 2009 and 2011. He joined the PDP 2002.
Today he is on the ADC platform and has declared party as Nigeria's New Hope.

APC Chieftain Odukoya Adeyinka Sefiu Resigns, Cites Failed Promises and Unfair Treatment.

A long-standing member of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Chief  Odukoya Adeyinka Sefiu, has formally withdrawn his membership from the party, citing loss of trust, unfulfilled promises, and what he described as “unfair treatment” by the party leadership. In a letter dated November 20, 2025, and addressed to the APC Lagos State Chairman through local ward leaders Alhaji Adeleke Abayomi and Olalekan Arepo who are the chairmen of ward M2 Alimosho LGA and ward G LASIEC respectively.     Odukoya stated that he had been committed to the progressive bloc since 1998, beginning with the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
