FORMER PDP CHAIRMAN CROSS-CARPETS TO ADC IN KWARA.
The immediate past Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, has officially resigned from the PDP and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Agunjin Ward, Ifelodun Local Government Area, Mohammed stated that his decision to leave the PDP was based on personal reasons after over two decades of dedicated service to the party.
Even though the reasons I dumped the PDP are personal, I have been a loyal member of the party for the past 22 years. When many leaders left for the APC, I chose to remain in the PDP. But as I speak,I have now joined the ADC. There is no hope left in the PDP. The ADC is now my party,
Mohammed, who served as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly between 2009 and 2011. expressed appreciation to the PDP leadership, stakeholders, and members for their support throughout his tenure as State Chairman.
I joined the PDP in 2002 and remained committed for 23 years without leaving for a single day. I sincerely thank all members and leaders for their cooperation, especially during my time as State Chairman, he added.
