ADC Lagos Chairman Charges Members on Massive Mobilisation as Omoluabi Group Pays Courtesy Visit
The Lagos State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. George Ashiru, has called on party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of upcoming political engagements, stressing that the strength of the party depends on active and committed membership.
Hon. Ashiru made this call while receiving members of the Omoluabi Group—a political group associated with the National Secretary of the ADC, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola—during a courtesy visit to his office in Ogba, Lagos.
While welcoming the delegation, the state chairman expressed deep appreciation for their visit and described it as timely and encouraging for the growth of the party in Lagos State. He emphasized that the ADC national leadership is placing high expectations on Lagos and Kano States as key pillars for the party’s expansion and electoral success.
According to Hon. Ashiru, the national body anticipates a significant influx of new entrants into the ADC from both Lagos and Kano, noting that sustained grassroots mobilisation, community engagement, and political education are critical to achieving this objective. He urged party members and support groups to take ownership of the mobilisation drive by reaching out to professionals, youths, women, and progressive-minded Nigerians who desire a credible political alternative.
He further delivered an extensive lecture on effective mobilisation strategies, stressing unity, discipline, and consistent presence at the grassroots level as non-negotiable tools for party building.
At the end of the interactive session, Hon. Ashiru once again thanked the Omoluabi Group for their solidarity and commitment to the ideals of the ADC.
Responding on behalf of the visiting delegation, Hon. Olusola Okiki, a leader of the Omoluabi Group, expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Chairman for the warm reception and insightful engagement. He reaffirmed the group’s total and unwavering support for the ADC leadership in Lagos State and pledged continued collaboration to strengthen the party and advance its objectives.
The visit ended on a note of renewed commitment, unity, and shared determination to position the ADC as a formidable political force in Lagos State and beyond.
