“We Will Vote and We Will Win” — Aregbesola Assures Lagos Ọmọlúwàbí Stakeholders

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has assured members of the Ọmọlúwàbí political group in Lagos State of electoral victory, declaring with confidence, “A má dibo, a má wòlè” — we will vote and we will win.
Aregbesola gave the assurance on Sunday, December 21, 2025, while receiving leaders and members of the Ọmọlúwàbí stakeholders during a courtesy visit to his residence in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The meeting was attended by key leaders of the caucus, including Hon. Teju Ismaeel, alongside Ọmọlúwàbí leaders drawn from various parts of Lagos State, reflecting the growing spread and organisational strength of the group within the ADC.
Addressing the delegation, Aregbesola expressed appreciation for the visit and commended members for their loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the party. He stressed that unity within the group remains non-negotiable, describing it as a critical ingredient for political success.
The former governor of Osun State urged members to remain prayerful and hardworking, noting that, in his experience, faith in God and diligent grassroots work are the two strongest pillars for winning elections.
According to him, sustained mobilisation remains key to the party’s growth. He therefore charged the stakeholders to continue taking the ADC message to the grassroots and to consistently recruit new members into the party.
Aregbesola also reiterated his firm stance against godfatherism in politics, stating that he does not believe in imposing candidates or political structures. However, he assured members that hard work, dedication, and genuine commitment to the party will always earn his support.
Expressing confidence in the future of the ADC, Aregbesola declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would lose the upcoming elections, adding that the ADC is well-positioned to emerge victorious if members remain focused and united.
He further applauded the trust, resilience, and discipline demonstrated by Ọmọlúwàbí members so far, encouraging them to intensify their mobilisation efforts and expand the party’s reach across Lagos State.
The visit ended on a note of optimism, reinforcing the resolve of the Ọmọlúwàbí stakeholders to deepen grassroots engagement and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the ADC ahead of future electoral contests.
