Why We Killed Ogun FRSC Officer, Daughter — Suspect, Herbalists

The Osun State Police Command has arrested a businessman, Victor Fajemirokun, and two herbalists for the murder of FRSC officer, Lasisi Funmilayo, and her daughter, Sewa, in Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State.

Fajemirokun, 40, confessed that he lured the victims from Ogun State after a cleric allegedly told him Funmilayo had “used his glory” and was responsible for his misfortunes. He claimed he took her to herbalist Gboyega Daramola for “spiritual cleansing,” but was told she must undergo rituals in the bush.

According to him, “We took her to the bush… that was where we killed her. The daughter followed us. I was as if hypnotised.”

One of the herbalists, Sunday James, told journalists he was ordered by his boss, Daramola, to kill the victims. He admitted slitting their throats and dismembering the FRSC officer’s body. Her remains were later recovered at the Esa-Odo Dam, while the daughter’s body was found in a nearby bush — both missing vital organs.

Police Commissioner Mohammed Umar Gotan said intelligence tracking led to Daramola’s arrest on November 16. He later led detectives to where the bodies were dumped. Fajemirokun fled to Ghana but was arrested through Interpol collaboration and repatriated.

The police say all suspects will be charged after investigation, while efforts continue to track other accomplices still at large.
